Statement on Pending Bills

2nd June 2023

Bearing in mind that this financial year comes to an end within a month, we ask that the National Treasury immediately release cash to the counties to enable the settling of the pending bills.

Our Membership is extremely strained given the hard economic times and compliance to our various needs ranging from financial institutions,, regulatory, taxes, employees and even suppliers

We ask Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u to expedite this.

On the same note, we take great exception on the various skewed pending bills committees set up by various county governors. These committees, have zero representation of the suppliers’ body and this makes its report one-sided. We ask that the governors consider democracy as a key to every decision and make it professional and inclusive

Thank you

Secretary General
