Statement on Delayed Payments

3rd March 2023

Aware that there is cash crunch across the public sector and great re-organization, we take this moment to remind the Principal Secretaries and County Governors that they have now settled in the offices and must take this earliest chance to clean up the pending bills as well as ensure that they sort every issue before proceeding with future procurement.

Pending bills are now akin to money private sector has loaned the government as such should also be the first charge in the coming budgets.

Thank you

Secretary General
